Mine has a winter set of wheels with Goodyear Duratrac 255/55R20, and with these it is fine, though (a) the diesel power delivery suits off road driving better, and (b) the traction control can cut in quite quickly if one has stopped with an obstruction in the way of the direction of travel (e.g. a large tussock of grass or a ridge in the ground) and then moves from stationary to drive over it. If one comes upon such an obstruction while moving it drives over it well enough, so one just has to drive a bit away from the obstruction before crossing it, it is an odd effect I didn't have with the 4.4TDV8 322 with the same tyres (albeit in 19"). It is a bit more prone to wheelspin, especially at the back, but I'm happy with the balance of road and off road on mine, and would not be going back to diesel.
While the Duratracs work well enough off road, "ye cannae change the laws of physics" so in deep mud or peat one can get stuck, but that is true of tractors, quads and even Argocats too. Note the Duratracs in that size are rated only to 99mph, so not ideal if you are a faster road driver. Only Range Rovers since 1988
