L405 Bike Rack Options - 4 bikes?

Can you get a bike rack that will take 4 adult sized mountain type bikes and if so what’s the recommend one on here please?

Our car has the deployable towbar.

Thanks 👍🏻

You could have a look at the one from Halfords, link below

That is if they are normal bikes, as the E-bikes ( I call em mopeds Rolling with laughter ) would be way too heavy.
Mate had one, this I think, till he changed to mopeds. Didn't hear any complaints from him.

There are a couple of Halfords options, depends on how fancy you want it to be, witter also do a 4 bike one. Thule don’t do a 4 bike rack where you put the bikes wheels on the rack, they do one where you hang the bikes from the crossbar if you see what I mean. Advantage of these is they pack down a little smaller! There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

I have a Thule 9705 which was great but it is for a flange type towbar so, as I now have deployable towbar, I am going to get the equivalent 9708 which is the same rack but designed to fit on the tow ball.

They also seem to be regular items on the bay too, which is where I've been looking to pick one up. This one is probably pretty close to you, no bids and finishes in a few days.

Choices choices

Thanks for the replies.

Anyone experienced using this on the L405? Halfords reviews for it seem very good for the price (£200 new) although they don’t say they’re L405 users of course.

Also will it work for clearance with the factory deployable Towbar? The dimensions are as pictured below (needs 50mm tow ball diameter and 65mm clearance between bumper and rack):

A friend (knows his bikes but a bike snob, in the nicest possible way Laughing … has instantly dismissed the above Halfords one suggesting it will likely not be up to much. Tbh though, I can see us using this once or twice and then it never being used again!

Friend has recommended the quite expensive (£400) Atera Strada

i am a bike snob too and i have the Halfords one pictured bang for buck it is great and i carry 4 bike all the time with it. not trying to show off but to put it into perspective the combine value of all the bikes is close to 10K.
so i did loads of research before i brought it.

now having used it for a good while i think it is a great choice 2012 Vogue 4.4 TDV8 - Current

We have the Thule VeloSpace XT 3 which can have a adapter to accommodate 4 bikes, great bit of kit and you can get into the boot!

Bagged and now have sitting in our garage what seems a bargain from a good, local private seller on eBay. A used twice Halfords Exodus 4 Bike Tow Carrier (still has untouched bits and pieces in original instruction pack). Presents as a good, sturdy piece of kit that has faired well in reviews, including AutoExpress a couple of years ago… and it folds back and away to allow access to the boot Thumbs Up

Fairly sure we’ll only ever use it a handful of times at most to accommodate 4 adult sized mountain/ hybrid type bikes. These carriers are popular on the second hand market just now and are going for between £100 and £200 upwards in eBay over the past week or so. This one needs a superficial clean but is like new and all for £75. Very pleased Thumbs Up

** Just need to clarify that our car has minimum tow ball nose weight load capacity of 85kg, although presuming that part will all be fine.

Minimum of 85kg ? Confused

Mine has a maximum of 80kg

Though I wouldn't be overly concerned carrying more and am fairly confident I have..... there was a lot of weight in this lot and It got to the Alps & back without a problem (other than road grime Rolling Eyes )
