Norway 2007 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Orkney Grey
L322 Reservoir pressure drop

After replacing the rear subframe bushes and brake pipes, I've been monitoring the gallery pressure (amongst other things) and it is dropping at a slow but steady rate. What parts of the system is still pressurized from the reservoir when the car is shut down?
No noise can be heard underneath the car. 2007 L322 3.6 TDV8 Stornoway

From what I can see from online system drawings, it should only be pressurised up to the valve block attached to the reservoir. Though it would be useful to know where the pressure sensor is located. Anyone? 2007 L322 3.6 TDV8 Stornoway

The relief valve/sensor is on the rear end of the reservoir.

Usually, if the reservoir is not maintaining pressure the compressor is on the way out, although it could be a leak somewhere. Later reservoirs were not galvanised so prone to rusting through.... .

I do not see how a failing compressor should result in reservoir pressure drop, as these are segregated when the compressor is stopped.

Rust could however be an issue. I'll try to dismantle mine for an inspection. 2007 L322 3.6 TDV8 Stornoway

Resurrecting this thread, anyone know what gauge steel the air reservoirs are constructed from? Quite a bit of corrosion on mine - would be good know how much corrosion can be tolerated before it's likely to start leaking. 2011MY 4.4TDV8 Autobiography Baltic Blue
