L405 2013 Adaptive cruise control not working

Good Day

For some reason my L405 2013 SDV8 adaptive cruise control does not activate. Pressing the steering SET has no affect. Nothing happens. What prevents adaptive cruise control to be enabled?
I see no errors that should affect it? I have tested all fuses and all are 100% with >12V on both fuse sides.

The car was mapped but as per tuner, has no affect on adaptive cruise control?
Have also confirmed via iiDtool that all the required CCF's are configured?

Can someone please assist?
Regards

Probably not be relevant, but I'm still having intermittent issues with my radar. I get the message "Radar Blocked - IEB not working". Once that's occurred I cant engage cruise. Its fine if I remember to engage cruise before I get the message and then turn off the adaptive bit. I can then switch in and out of cruise. But not once that message has been displayed. Happens about 1 journey in 3. Since you don't mention the radar blocked message its not likely to be your issue....but have you checked the radar with your IID? Mike - MPx

I had a similar issue which was caused by air compressor issue.
But you dont have compressor errors?

https://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic59778.html

Radar blocked --can be misalignment of radar sensor caused by a small compression of the front bumper, enough to mis align the radar but bumper springs back with no apparent damage to bumper.

Your speed sensor error is the clue can that be reset? 2018 SE SDV8 4.4 Byron Blue

The fault on the pcm does not reset.my questions where is this coming from. ABS and wheel sensors. What wheel sensors are used for this.

The ABS ecu derives the speed signal from the wheel ABS sensors and broadcasts the derived speed as a message on the high speed canbus. The radar unit connects to the HS canbus so could be the real source of the fault code. I would try removing the radar unit's fuse or disconnecting the battery for a few moments then see if the fault code still occurs. The radar unit has permanent 12V power as well as an ignition feed so switching off the ignition doesn't cause the radar unit to restart.

A general HS canbus problem would cause many communication faults, not just a single fault.

I have tested forward alert today.it works but setting it at maximum distance, the actual car gap is only one car length at 120km\h. Did I loose the calibration maybe.
Secondly, to calibrate the steering angle sensor after battery was remove, must the first turn to lock be to the right? Does it matter?

Hi GreameS

Do you perhaps have the wiring diagrams of a 2013 L405. The wiring diagram on Wiki is 2016 and my car wiring is not the same? Tried checking but it is different.
It could be a L322 2012? Have not seen the wiring for L322 2012?

I think you are correct that there could be a HS bus fault. Will have to go through HS bus. Not sure how the actual harness is routed Big Cry

That was only relevant to the BMW made 02-06 model years sir…

So, totally irrelevant for your model 👍

I don't have a wiring diagram for any L405 and my 2014 RRS fuse information doesn't show a fuse for the radar unit, but LR's documentation for my MY12 L322 is far from complete. However the fuse information inside the lid of the engine bay fuse panel should show the radar unit's fuse.
I wouldn't expect the 2012 L322's wiring to be useful for the L405.

My intermitent ACC issue was resolved by cleaning and tightning the megafuse block, so check on the 12v supply side. I has been reliable for me since.

Good luck!

Good day

I should have replied earlier that my ACC is working. It was the speed reference configured with the new remap. All working now.
