I skipped the 3.6 as I didn’t want the worry of the engine lunching on the turbos and being left with an expensive paperweight….

Many don’t have an issue, I just didn’t want the worry.

Yes, the 4.4 has a few known issues, but none of them terminal…. The oil cooler can leak and put oil in the coolant if not caught… and you need to give them a blast now and again or they can smoke on acceleration.

Both cars have good and bad points… most 3.6’s don’t have a DPF….

Drive a couple of each. Nice 4.4 for sale on here, but might have gone now.

Decent ones don’t hang about….

4.4 has a dpf so take that into consideration 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"
New Defender D300 90 on order so "Rory" will be going to a new home....!
