Beep when reverse is selected

Mea Culpa! Mea Culpa!

Playing around with either the GAP IID Tool or Faultmate (or maybe even T4) on my 2003 L322, I inadvertently set a flag that causes a beep when reverse is selected.

I want to turn it off but I can't remember where the flag is set.

Grateful if anyone can point me in the right direction. Ron B. VK2OTC

I've always liked my earlier D4's and now my L322's beep as it indicates that the reversing sensors are working. I'm not aware of any method of turning it off.

Thanks Graeme. No, I remember setting the flag thinking it was a good thing - but itโ€™s merely annoying, hence why I want it off.

Iโ€™ll hook up Faultmate later and try to find it. Ron B. VK2OTC

I looked through everything with Faultmate and couldn't find the flag I had set.

Thanks, I'll have a look with GAP IID. Does the 2003 model have a CCF file? Ron B. VK2OTC

I check the CCF to no avail.

But then I noticed there was a beep every time I came to a stop. I further noticed this happened as the PDC light came on. (It goes off when the car reaches about 15km/h and comes back on as the car slows.)

I got out my trusty Faultmate and read the help files for the PDC. Aha! I must have set a couple of the options, one being to sound the beep when reverse was selected and the other to sound when the PDC was activated.

I turned them off and all is quiet at last! Ron B. VK2OTC
