Air suspension L322

My suspension is on its arse and left it in to get looked at by an Indy
He's had it a while now and reckons it's the Air Sus ECU
My question is I've read the air sus ECU is very robust unit and very very unlikely to be the cause of an air sus fault that garages will blame the ECU if they can't find the fault. Any truth in this? L322 '05 TD6 w/ aluminium body ECU

It is rare, but not unknown for the ECU go south.

What codes is the Air Suspension sending back ?
Have you checked for a leak in an air bag yet ?
Does the compressor run, at all ? .
Experience is the only genuine knowledge, but as time passes, I have forgotten more than I can remember Wink
