What to look out for in early 4.2 S/C's

I'm going to see one tonight - is there anything in particular I should be looking out for? Thanks in advance.

No....it had what can only be described as an "interesting" looking LPG conversion I didn't know about prior to the viewing.

What kind of mileage do you do?, I’d probably try and avoid LPG converted ones, I know they’re meant to be ok with flashlube etc but the Jag engines can suffer valve issues with LPG unlike the earlier BMW 4.4.
If you can put up with the economy I’d just put the petrol in it as they’re pretty reliable engines.

Yes I didn't know it was even LPG converted before i went to see it - I don't think this is a car you should ever buy if you are concerned with fuel economy

Personally I'd avoid lpg conversion kits. I mean why would you want a petrol burning beast if you are also a massive tree hugger and care about the environment and want too increase your mpg? Just doesn't seem the right thing too do plus for me adding gas to car is just more things to eventually go wrong with it and then you've gotta find a decent garage that's capable of working on lpg range rovers
