2008 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Stornoway Grey

Went to pick up the tin tent, then packed the boot with PA speakers, amps, 12 large trays of curry for 100 people, 48 bottles of Corona for me, case of Rose d'anjou for swmbo and some other 'bits' ready for new year caravan rally..

Checked the usuals under the bonnet and tyres ready for journey, fully loaded I think I'll be approaching 4.5-5 tonnes, tomorrow Thumbs Up Is this where I put the car details and a bit about myself ?........

Not today but on Christmas Eve we headed north to the daughters, then yesterday we came home, another 250 fault free miles in the old girl in what could only be described as diabolical weather conditions. The Rannoch Moor and Glencoe were particularly bad on the road north with lots of snow and the return journey was full of waterlogged roads, but all taken in its stride

Oil Change

Just borrowed the ramp at my mates garage and dropped the oil. Filter changed and added some Slick 50 ( snake oil to some but I reckon it gave me an extra 2mpg when I used it in a p38 diesel i owned a few years back ).

Played spot the fatty in Abersoch,
I swear Ive never seen so many full fats in once place before. I stopped counting in the end but second to the fatty was the disco, loads of them, then quite a few freelanders, I was surprised to only see 4 sports for miles around Laughing
The minor floods must have scared them off, except one tool who thought he was the 'dogs bits' in his white sport charging at the floods against oncoming traffic etc. Couldnt help myself in blocking his way through Whistle
Long live the fatty army Thumbs Up

United States 2006 Range Rover HSE 4.4 V8 Zambezi Silver

Switched over all the classic Land Rover emblems on to the black/silver ones. The Rover is Java so it really sets it off nicely. I also think I have a leak in the air suspension somewhere. Front end is sitting lower then my Mk5 GTI did and the butt sits up maybe a inch or 2 higher like a dirty girl wanting dollar bills.

Parked in a wide open space at Halfords, Currys etc type shopping centre in Warrington. Walked towards shops when some 6th sense caused me to turn around. You guessed it some airhead blonde parked with her drivers door not 6 inches from my passenger door. Shocked I gave her the look with my arms and hands (palms forward) held away from my sides. WTF? Censored on my lips.
She gave a self deprecating smile and manoeuvered her car slightly away. I had to grit my teeth and went on my way. On return to car my missus just managed to get in, luckily no marks. Thud

On a much more worrying note a brake pipe has gone. Big Cry Area of concern is under the car on the nearside between the front and rear doors, Warning bong came up check brake fluid level. Got some DOT 4 from Halfords and topped up. Even before I got home warning bong again! Got No 1 money pit (son) to squeeze brake pedal and sure enough found brake fluid pouring out. Topped up again and took round to local indy (3/4 mile away) who was booked up til 18th. Have taken it round the corner to my usual mech who will give it a dose of looking at tomorrow morning. (hopefully localised and will put a joiner in). Neutral

The indy chap says he has seen duff pipes on Disco 3s and some Sports but doesn't usually occur on a FF! Previous cars:
S-Max 2007-2013 (only diesel I've had, good car but expensive when diesely bits go wrong, so what's the point?)

Found I had a Veba FM wireless modulator in the boot so the audio from the dvd can be tuned to the ICE setup. It also has a 3.5mm input that can play the ipod through the same radio tuning.

Just need a long male to male 3.5mm lead so I can put the ipod in the front Cool

Found the bottom speakers in the rear doors aren't working Crying or Very sad so have done a search and PM'd Baris as he seems to be the man in the know Wink 2005 Range Rover Vogue with Supercharged Accessories

Had my rear bumper realigned - not through choice - by some anonymous arse wipe in the car park...

Celebrated this by filling my car with Shell V-Power Nitro+ in the hope that this super fuel may change my diesel tractor into a 5.0 supercharged. No such luck yet though.

Belgium 2006 Range Rover Vogue Td6 Bonatti Grey

Back to the UK yesterday for a funeral Crying or Very sad, passing the 246000km at nieuwpoort.
Took the opportunity to pick-up pre-ordered Bosch wipers & butyl tape [as recommended by Joe90].
Today;
Stopped the terrible back wiper thud & replaced the blade [thanks Stan 1.17 euro from the pound shop].
Setting about resealing the door today i noticed the lower left speaker not working!, so have delayed the door [will do the 9V test on the speaker tomorrow in daylight].
Concerning the Bosch wipers, is it right that there are no fixings supplied?.

Looked at the outside of the car which is covered in grime & mud, worst moment was when someone point out to me that the inside has more vlas on the floor than my stables...............
