Range Rover digital service history.

Going to look at a FFRR tomorrow. The dealer was saying that all the service history is online. I did find how to access it, but it needs a VIN, which I havent got.
Does this digital record mean that I am not going to see the old fashioned service book with stamps ?
Can I get a VIN from a number plate ?

all the new stuff is online now...you do need the vin which cant be derived from the reg number...you can however read the vin through the near side of the windscreen.. ... - .- -.

2011 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 V8 Baltic Blue

My service book is stamped by main dealer for first five years, but logging on to Stan's link brings up 'No services have been recorded against this vehicle.' Assume online logging must have been optional? 2011MY 4.4TDV8 Autobiography Baltic Blue

2016 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Santorini Black

In general the OsH started with the 405. Anything stamped will not have been added. Either you have a book, or it’s online generally not both.

My 322 had all LR stamps until it went last year and wasn’t on the OSH. But my 405 is There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Online service history started around 2014 IIRC.
