I'm having intermittent problems with my near side blindspot monitoring, sometimes it detects vehicle and other time it just stays off.

I checked for dirt and contamination both on the bumper cover and in the void behind. I’ve also checked with IID for any fault codes, and found nothing obvious.

I have found some units on-line, but the Workshop manual says "If a new component has been installed, configure both the left and right side Blindspot Monitoring Sensors using Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment"

I’m assuming that a replacement previously used part counts as "new to the vehicle" and therefore requires configuration. The big question is, is there any "tool" apart from the Land Rover Diagnostic Equipment that can perform such configuration?
