Flat spots / uneveness would as you say come through as vibrations. Rear vibrations you would feel through the seat. Front through the steering wheel in your hands. Normally when you are steering gentle bends / changes of direction either side of straight ahead, you'll feel shimmy in the steering wheel.

Hi. I have a 2013 L405 TD v8 as well and am experiencing similar issues as you. did arrive at a reason/conclusion? |

check your bolts on your power motor on your steering rack ,they have a tendency to corrode and snap ...known issue on l405 2013-2016 i believe.had it happen to me |

Thankyou so much for your response. I have only just see it but the 405 is on the ramp now so can get under it. Have been looking for instruction on the forum about a new oil leak. hopefully i have found the solution from the forum. thanks to everyone who puts things on here. |

I had similar symptoms to the OP and it was worn out tension arm bushes (the lower forward suspension arms). Replacing these and resetting the alignment did wonders |

Thankyou for that. Those are the 2 big buses on the inner front arms i take it. we thought there was a small amount of movement. how hard were they to get out |
