4.4 Fuel Pump

Hello, a question for 4.4 owners. When your stop start is operating do you hear complete silence?

MY18 has a buzzing noise when the engine stops, this noise seemed to get louder so i ran it in to the MD and they said it was the fuel pump. This was replaced under warranty and it did seem quite after replacement. However the buzzing is back, not as noisy but still there.

Are they all the same? does yours buz when the engine cuts out, or is it total silence and can't hear anything at all. When parking and switching off the buz does stop.

When I had MY13 3.0 i never had this it was total silence when stop start kicked it in. ------------------------------------------

My 4.4 is silent when stopped with start/stop.

Thanks for the responses. Booked in to MD. I have been switching stop start off and actually prefer the engine running. There is nothing like the undertone of a V8 on tick over. Very Happy Thumbs Up ------------------------------------------
