Outdoor Cover Recommendations

Hi All,

I know I have asked before but I’m not convinced….Before winter hits, does anyone have any recommendations on an outdoor car cover? I have ceramic coated my car but it cops a lot of bad weather on the drive!

I don’t mind paying out for a good one that won’t scratch the paint or blow away.

Thanks in advance Thumbs Up 2017 Range Rover Vogue V6 Diesel

Still not got one ? Whistle

I thought the whole point of all the fancy ceramic coatings was so that you could wash it back to perfection is record time ? Unless you very rarely use it and only in the dry, I'd have thought covers were more trouble than they are worth.

Not much help I know, but I have never seen anyone using an outdoor car cover - there has to be a good reason ?

I know what you mean, but they do seem surprisingly resilient. There are very few kept undercover as they are just too big. Mine only lives inside in the winter now as our ski place has a carpark and my next door neighbour never seems to have a car there - except one week when they did & I was forced to climb in & out of the boot as it's so tight Shocked

I don't think I've ever had a RR not open to the elements in the UK.

I wouldn't like the thought of any dust trapped between the cover and the paintwork, potentially causing marring Neutral Kev

I think the chap was called Gavin Bell,
He bought a 2011/12 4.4tdv8, then got a job abroad and bought the cover to help store it.

Just bought a “specialised covers” cover for my caravan, was quite expensive and is decent quality, I agree tho, the car needs to be clean, otherwise the rustling of the cover could cause issues.

As for the above post, I have the 'Storm Force' version from Coverzone for my fatty. Not cheap, but never found any moisture under the cover. Cleaning the car before covering and tightening all straps stops any damage to the paintwork Thumbs Up

Note - I am not connected to this company in any way whatsoever.

My only complaint is this..... When not in use, to get the cover back into the bag it comes in, you need to be a bloody magician to get it back in.
