I wonder if the software can be updated with the GAP IID Tool? I will have to run a diagnostic this weekend and see what software updates may be available in the transmission area.

Highly likely engine mounts. Have someone rev the engine while you watch the motor. It may rise several inches, likely from the left side.

I made a post some time ago of how to replace yourself with a friend. Fixed my acceleration/ downshift clunk immediately. Dan. 🇨🇦 2013 L405 5.0 SCV8

Would loose engine mounts cause this issue as there is no vibration etc and I only experience this hard thud clunk which feels like it coming from under the floor when I put my foot down and then the car obviously drops gears.
Cheers

Hi @Bora20 in another post you mentioned you did a software update via GAP IID tool and this cured the issue correct? Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 SDV8 SVO Stying Pack

I did the update after a transmission and transfer case fluid change. I thought that cured it. It fixed the TC noises, after a second flush, but the hard shift/clunk was the engine mounts.
