England 2005 Range Rover Vogue Td6 Zambezi Silver
Ineos Grenadier Reserved

Hi all

I just wondered if anyone here has been following the development of the Ineos Grenadier?

I received my “early follower” e mail inviting me to reserve an early build slot this morning and have paid a fully refundable £450 deposit.

I have been on the Grenadier configurator, which is very simple and straight forward to use, and the below is what I spec’d up

Not sure on colour, but quite like the blues…
Black leather interior
Centre lockable cubby box
Rear access ladder
Raised air intake
Compass
Safari sunroof
18” alloys

Jim

Sorry but that design is incredibly aesthetically challenging inside and out. May look better in the flesh.

Good luck to those that do but its not for me. 405 AB exec seats Baltic and Cirrus

If anything, it’s worse. Woeful rip-off design.

That looks much better than the Land Rover offering with the ridiculous boxes stuck out of the back window etc. Looks great, shame that it's built in France which would be a deal breaker if I was interested, French and cars have never been a good match. BMW i3 Electric Car

It’s probably just me (it usually is) but it reminds me of a Matra Rancho! Can’t remember the last time I saw one but they had a similar look to the front from memory

I think it can look quite cool. Seeing the pictures above I was like yuk, but actually when configuring one it can be ok and to my taste. Dare I say I think it is better looking than the current Defender... Confused

Has it got hints of Defender, yup. Has it got hints of G Wagon, yup. Has it got hints of Matra (good shout!!!) yup. Has it got hints of SsangYong, sadly yup. But there is a reason as they are all quite capable off-road vehicles and there is only so many way in doing that.

French doesn't put me off considering what they put in/on it from various parts bins Smile

But to me they've missed a trick or two; no privacy glass option from factory, light ceiling but black seats (why oh why...). But most importantly as it is 2023 when they realistically will be delivered, the BMW Petrol and Diesel engines are nice, but ahem why not a full on EV? Now that would be a disrupter in my opinion.

I understand they are looking at a hydrogen version as that fits with the assumption farmers/construction units etc will use them and the heavy equipment is moving to hydrogen so it would have a ready fuel source on site.

I followed this story.
Agree with comments G wagon \. No bad thing , a lot of people like ~g spots I mean g wagons

Thought long and hard & then noticed the blurb said you can wash down the inside with a hosepipe, at which point I lost interest as I’m not in that ruff & tuff category . Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Emissions Analytics worked with........etc etc

He who dies with the most toys wins...
