Recently bought tdv8 4.4 2011

Engine misfire badly tick over and running speed any clues had injecters checked no faults
No engine lights showing on dash
Not reading any faults on snapon reader

Blocked cat might be a starting point if there are no codes

I don't know for sure but I'd start by checking the basics.
My old Disco 3 started misfiring when the fuel filter needed changing one time - I don't recall there being any error codes.
Air filters? MAF and MAP sensors clean?
