Water gushed out bottom of door - upon opening ?

This morning: opened drivers door to get in... water gushed out the bottom, over the sill and floor.

Confused ... I looked around and saw a funny seal. I remembered that it's always been like that. I spotted it not long after we bought it - but there's never been an issue ... see pics attached.

Any advice appreciated. 67 plate RR.

Hi you can remove door card, it takes five mins.
This will give you access to this seal, you can then reposition it. The seal just pushes on.
Look on you tube for door card removal from Powerful and they show how to remove card.
Hope that helps.

also check to make sure your roof drains aren't clogged....on my l322 it would occasionally clog and water would gush out the bottom of the door by the hinge (roof drains came out there on the l322...not sure if they are there on the l405 but might be worth checking) 2014 FF Autobiography 5.0 SC

Thanks all.

I actually had LR Assist come and take a look. Agreed with me that the trim isn't quite right - he removed the outer piano black trim and used a trim tool to try and pop the seal up - but it seems it's permanent, the dipping of it.

He suggested a dealer fit a new one and that was that.

What's frustrating is, I'll bet the warranty won't cover it so I'm into labour and part. I can't even guess how much it'll be.

I'll take a look at the drains as suggested also! '67 Full Fat RR

As I have stated the seal is easy to get at .
You don't need to get JLR to look at.
Have a go its easy.
