Greece 2004 Range Rover HSE 4.4 V8 Java Black
Second year with my L322 M62

7th of October marked two years of ownership. A total of 45k km have been covered with daily use.
The only major and notable breakdown this year has been the PCV valve.
Of course there have been some other minor issues, such as the lock and the expansion tank but this was a used one fitted during Covid-19 1st lockdown as last resort and still lasted well over13 months.
Engine oil changes are being done every 10-12k km.
Over these 2 years, I have opted to spend some disposable income on improvements and preventative maintenance but bear in mind that these mostly have been optional intervention and restoration to factory standard...

Car purchased Oct 2019 with 173K Km like this:

1st year

-Wipers front - rear
-Radiator + oil cooler+thermostat
-O2 sensors (all)
-Tyres + alignment
-Valley pan
-Intake manifold gaskets
-Cyclone + tubes
-Gearbox fluid and filter
-Power folding mirrors repair-fuel cap lid lock repair
-Battery
-Rear pdc
-Headlight wipers repair / washer pump
-Rear doors locks x 2
-Rear muffler painting
-Colant temp sensor
-Vacuum hoses
-Radiator matrix hoses
-Rocker cover gaskets replacement/ bead blasting and powder coating
-Spark plugs
-Bonnet overall painting / rear above tail light dent repair
-3rd stop light replacement
-Brake disks + pads
-Ignition coils x 8

2nd year

-Spark plugs x 8
-Front drop links
-Water pump + pulleys
-Front bushes
-Fromt air struts
-Paint correction
-Coolant return hose by the oil cooler (preventative)
-Rear wiper repair
-Expansion tank
-HDC + LOW switches repair
-Front passenger lock
-PCV valve replacement
-Boot lid dampers
-Parking brake pads
-Diff + Transfer box oil
-SCL repair
-XYZ (Preventative with previously purchased part)

Presently like this, with 217K Km...

All these might seem like a lot but this is a 17 yo vehicle, being somewhat unloved until purchased and put to daily use straight away! That's pretty bulletproof in my book... Thumbs Up

Purchase cost was zero to me as I effectively swapped a luxury watch at huge profit for it Laughing and still had leftover funds out of this for insurance, road tax and first aid...

Many jobs done have been diy and a great pastime indeed...

Very happy with the fatty. I'm probably keeping her until the 405 prices come within reach...In fact I'm not thinking of ever selling at the moment...

Initially planned to use as a weekend / hobby driver. Then got hooked Laughing
It's a 40-50 km each way, of daily commute to and from work. The amount of driving pleasure and serenity offered, has a profound effect on my mood and productivity, believe it or not... I've never felt as excited since high school when I used to ride a motorcycle to school...
