United Kingdom 2008 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Buckingham Blue
Engine Management Failure on Dash LCD screen

Afternoon All

I've encountered a somewhat frustrating problem with my 2008 3.6TDV8 that came to light whilst on holiday last week in Cornwall. We had drove down last saturday from Essex and got just Plymouth when we lost power and the dash LCD screen came up with Engine Management Failure warning. There were no other warning lights and once I'd pulled over turned it off and restarted it it ran perfectly for the next 20 mins when it did it again, it seemed to happen when we were going uphill and under load. It the ran ok for the next couple of days then on a 20mile trip to Bodmin it happened again 4 times going and not at all on the way home. I called out the AA due to the fact I couldnt find a LR specialist that could look at it whilst we were there. The AA sent a local guy out who couldnt find any logged fault with his Code Reader but did find that the battery positive terminal wasn't tight. I test drove the car for a couple of miles with him following me and mainly up hill and under load (I was in Cornwall afterall) and all seemed ok. Faith restored we then took a trip of over an hour each way with out any issues whatsoever, all good till this morning when after 20 miles ish to Plymouth again up hill and under load it did it again same fault on the LCD all good once the ignition was turned off and on again. Stopped on the M5 services and it did it again pulling back on to the carriage way again off on all good and has got us back home with out further issue.
I will book it in with the LR specialist that looks after the car to see if they can see any codes, but I would appreciate any wisdom from you guys

Cheers
