Which direction does the air flow in the space where the pollen filter sits? Up or down?

I'm trying to figure out which part of the MAHLE third party air filter I bought should face up or down.

Thanks everyone. Now installed with the arrow pointing down.

For the MAHLE filter, the arrow for the air flow points down and the text is right way up. That's how I installed it.

The OEM filters as well as the plastic case holding the filters each have an arrow pointing up to indicate which way is up - not which way the air is flowing. L405 2016 - Supercharged V6 petrol 380hp
