Problem:
Electric windows not functioning correctly.

Solution:
Close the window fully.
Release the switch, then lift it to the close position for 2-3 seconds.
Release the switch.
Repeat the lift and release procedure twice more.
Test the window for correct manual and automatic switch operation. ...
Repeat the procedure on each window.

This just worked for me. 2012 L322 4.4TDV8 AB

So you don't cycle the actual window up and down just the switch repeatedly to the up position? 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

I'm sure that's what I did too on my passenger side recently. It stopped going up so I just repeated holding the switch up a few times with the window still shut if that makes sense. Gone to a good home: 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"

That’s what I did for all windows (and sunroof) after reconnecting battery. You will hear a faint click after a second or two holding the switch in the up position, presumably a relay, solenoid or whatever resetting. 2011MY 4.4TDV8 Autobiography Baltic Blue

Great tip. I applied this yesterday to my car where two windows on the drivers side lost it. All good again.
