Is it just me??

As I get older I find little things starting to bug me more and more. Take this morning for instance:

1. The person who drives at 45mph in the national speed limit… and then continues to drive at that speed when going into a 30mph section through a village!!

2. Truckers on dual carriageways where then take 5miles to overtake as first on then the other puts a nose in front!!

You are starting to get GOM/MOG syndrome (grumpy old man / miserable old git)

Just relax and let it go, you will get where you are going eventually, and in one piece Wink .
Experience is the only genuine knowledge, but as time passes, I have forgotten more than I can remember Wink

Normally I'd prescribe a Range Rover for your 'condition' as I feel a lot more chilled out when I'm driving mine, but as you've already got one I don't know what to suggest! Laughing MY23 Panamera E-Hybrid

Maybe Martin that’s the problem…I don’t have one yet. I’m either in the company barge (E class) or the wife’s Infiniti FX(which is excellent….except for “sporty” ride and lack of boot space!)

Just trying to price an engine replacement for a members L322, so if not prohibitive I may have one at some point, and intend to have one by the end of April when the Mercedes goes back.

However you may be right, when my son comes home he starts using language that I’ve never heard of (he’s 7!) who knew “yeet” was a new word!

This gets right on my nerves. Going slow in nationals and then busting the speed limit by 50% in 30's! These people are bloody dangerous. They seem oblivious of anything further than 10ft from their bonnet badge. Christian.

Chill, they are poor old git's that will never experience a FF.
I enjoy mine at any speed lol, the longer I am in the FF, the happier I am.

But, "beware old men wearing a hat while driving" my old man once told me.
he was an ex Fire Engine driver and Fuel Tanker driver, he had seen a lot of bad driving--he was right lol 2018 SE SDV8 4.4 Byron Blue

Thinking about Kot’s dad

A long long Long time ago, In my youth I hitch hiked everywhere . I was picked up by a tanker driver with a liquid load.

Some smart a*s e in a small sports car , overtook us on a dual carriageway & decided he was turning off so hit the brakes.

Lorry driver had to apply the brakes quite sharply. The extraordinary feeling of the liquid not wanting to stop quite so sharply has never left me & I’m reminded every time I overtake a tanker & give them extra space. ..

The liquid just seemed to shunt us forward after we had started slowing…v v v odd Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Emissions Analytics worked with........etc etc

He who dies with the most toys wins...

A truck driver I knew years ago told me he often did that for no better reason than to annoy people.....

Adaptive cruise control doesnt help the speed thing when going into a lower limit...... Not the scenario you describe but, imagine you're driving at, say, 50 in a 50 zone. The car in front slows down when it reaches a 30 zone. Your car slows down too. Then the car in front turns off...... 2010 Range Rover Autobiography TDV8 Santorini Black

As a trucker I know why the slow over taking happens. A long time ago, you used too back off the gas, let the overtaking vehicle pass and flash them in.

Drivers these days sorry steering wheel attendants don't have that thought process n simply don't care so they just sit side by side for 10 miles

Surely then when you know they won’t backoff and you rely on it, then don’t overtake. Both are as bad as each other, just as selfish and utterly pointless to everyone else.
