England 2007 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.2 SC V8 Zermatt Silver

Having watched Toto's video statement and the admission by the FIA that the rules had been broken, and that
Masi 's decisions were wrong, now its up to the FIA to sort it out.

In my opion Mercedes did a wise thing by stepping back, the FIA ceated this mess let them sort it out.

I’ve been Hamilton fan since he debuted in 2007, something just caught my imagination back then (as a white man not very good at driving and nearing middle age, so much in common). He was robbed of an eight title. But, Max was ahead going into that GP and Merc was very cautious in their pitting strategy increasing their risk profile on track. I congratulate Max / Horner for holding a flame to Mercedes’s feet and burning off their legs. Mercedes need to learn the lessons from points lost in other races. And F1 governing body need to take themselves outside and have a quiet word with themselves, with a commitment to sort their Censored out. L405 P400e Autobiography (MY2020)... The facts are clear, LH was burning the rubber, was streets ahead, there was no way Mad Max would catch him.
If he did, then we all knew Mad Max would break late and take out LH.

Red Bull had no other option to do the opposite of what Mercedes did. Mercedes had track position and without incident would have easily won.

Who would have thought some glory hunting, so called Race Director ex Marketing profession -- Massi---(volunteer in supercars?) has never been a driver lol---would then make up his own rules and deliberately change them "0n the go"(for whatever reason?????)
No need for Mad Max to take out LH, Massi did it for him
Oh and he is an Aussie---says it all really.
FIA are in a big mess and they have no idea how to get out of it 2018 SE SDV8 4.4 Byron Blue

I know I'm just adding to the thread but isn't it dreary - F1 has got less exciting spending energy as it does on "tactics" rather than racing.

I think its time to get over it and move on. Geoff

Agree. It’s a bit like the motorsport equivalent of chess!

I much prefer the older days of F1, rallying etc

These days I find myself drawn to endurance racing like Le Mans, the Isle of Man TT, and Paris-Dakar type events. Although even the Mulsanne Straight isn’t straight anymore!!

Reality is, that every F1 fan in the World, knows that MV win was tainted and he will always be remember for that.
Until of course he wins his first Championship by the rules (if he ever does Rolling with laughter )

Kot, Nope really not. Just a few sour faces in the UK and some in the British press that use that kind of language. The rest of the world seems to understand.

What blackdog fails to understand that we British ALWAYS play with a straight bat and understand that rules should not be bent twisted or frustrated in anyway. If you're not British you will struggle to understand this Rolling Eyes (probably)

Oh dear let’s agree to not go there. That will really not be a pretty (recent) history lesson.
