United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Westminster TDV8 Orkney Grey

I had a bright silver with black interior, and wanted something similar, for the replacement..as its fairly neutral, and quite easy to keep clean.. inside and out. I replaced it with an orkney grey with black interior, after a little wait for the right price/location etc. I saw a couple with garish RED leather seats, and one, with saddle brown/orangeish leather....there are some colours, that won't stand the test of time, when these are relatively low value, (l322)
to me, large sensible cars look better in dark, or neutral colours... I see RR sports, often with some weird matched colour combos.... but each to their own!
if there was a colour I would avoid, personally, it would be gold/bronze.

I think Land Rover should protect some people from themselves.

The other week I saw a steel blue with black roof; silver wheels, tanned leather rose wood, and red brake callipers. It was truly sickening and a fashion disaster on wheels.

I’m still said I missed out on the auto biography black with black interior as most have this horrid panda stripe white/black interior.

Bentley actually do this on Bentayga, there are certain combinations you just aren’t allowed from the factory. It was interesting walking down the production line at Crewe…as the person giving the tour said you can spot old money and new money in the vehicles specified!

Surely old money wouldn’t buy one in the first place :p

Part of me is that people should be able to order what they want. But oh my some people need some help 🤣

Personally I loved the combo on my 322, Firenze with ivory.

Easy to keep looking clean, and reminded myself why I prefer ivory by having black on the 405.

I like the look of Tan, but agree it’s Marmite. Black on black is a fairly safe bet as the most common/regularly ordered colour combo. If there had been a Red 4.4 L405 with a light interior available when I was looking then I would have had it in a flash. It’s something a bit different and tbh most 405’s I see near me are black so all drift into not being noticed…… There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

I would never ever have a car with a tan interior. That is just a no no, reminds me too much of the 70's and early 80's with the likes of the Austin princess and Ital. Had the nasty tan interiors. Why land rover brought that colour back we'll never know. Must be the old boys wanting to go back in time and relive their youth Laughing

Can't fault you on your car Northern monkey, personally myself I think the Rimini red is an awesome colour. What colour interior do you have? My mate in swad has the rrs s/c in Rimini red with the lower parts being grey, not a very good looking combination me thinks.

That was my old one, 12My with an ivory interior. Lovely car. Fancied a 405 so it went In px. I think there are only a couple in that spec in the country. I’ve only seen one other with Firenze red and ivory and the red ones rarely come up on auto trader. This one went to a small dealer out of auction after I Px it and is currently running round on R321CJR if anyone spots it. I thank the DVLA for their excellent data protection for texting me the reg by accident when it’s MoT was due…… There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

I've yet to see another L322 in Rimini red while I've been driving all over the country. I thought I had the only one until I just seen your old one lol. I do like the Firenze red, there was my12 overfinch on AT a few months ago that looked spectacular with cream red stitched interior, but was way out my price range.

That being said there is a nice looking 56 plate 3.6 in Alveston red one with parchment on EBay at the moment up in Rochdale…… it’s about £9k which doesn’t seem unreasonable as it’s done under 100k. Tempted, as it’s on 20” D4 wheels and I need a set for mine, which is on 322 wheels…. Whistle Big Cry man maths and all that….. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

I like that L322 Rimini Red northernmonkeyjones. Goes nice with Ivory, so much better than tan. I don't like tan with Ferrari and definitely don't think it is a combination on anything else.

I'm not sure from the photos as it is low resolution, but from a distance it looks like piping Shocked Contrast stitching yes, but piping is right back old fashioned British in my opinion...

Our man maths are usually 99.9% correct. The only mistake we all make is telling the missus and that's when everything gets complicated. Out comes the head shade, the giant handled accounting machine and the rubber topped pencil only be told, no can't afford it, we need a new kitchen first Laughing Laughing
But I'm lucky in that respect, I don't tell the missus until after I've bought something so by then it's too late. Whistle

Was a Vogue, so standard seats which have piping rather than the semi analine VSE+ ones. Was ivory piped with black. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
