Following the information about items on the ‘constraints’ list, I have changed my wheel spec.


When I ordered my 510e ATB, the standard wheels on the Configurator were 22" Style 1073, DT with Gloss Dark Grey contrast (031WA) which I ticked as the two-tone wheel worked well with my colour of Silicon Silver plus shadow pack.
However, I changed the spec a couple of weeks ago to the 22in Style 5127 DT & Satin Dark Grey Contrast (no cost option on the Configurator).
These have a similar diamond cut style with dark grey contrasting sections, and I don’t recall seeing them as an option back in January, so they must be a recent addition to the Configurator.

I have had no information as yet regarding whether it has improved my delivery time.
It may have taken the wheel problem away, but the Meridian Signature system amplifier will remain an issue, so maybe no difference? Cheers,

The meridian system is a problem at the moment my dealer said all their higher spec cars had been unslotted due to shortages with no timeline. He said he expects q1 next year before they start building them again as SE and HSE are being called forward. MY23 PHEV HSE

At least some of you are having these discussions with your dealer. I'd quite like it if mine mentioned some of these points - delete these spec item to get the car quicker etc. - but I'm getting nothing. Just an occasional "sorry, no news".

The reality is, I'd have probably taken any car that was available. Regardless of spec.

Does seem like some dealers are not doing the legwork maybe just a little complacent they have filled their quota and have a queue of people to fill any orders where a customer walks?

I originally looked at an AB but was soon steered to HSE by the dealer, not just over lead time but they know my use case and the fact it will get messy. I’m half thinking if I find I like it and want one with the exact spec desired I will order another and run this for a year, residual might be pretty strong for the next 12months. MY23 PHEV HSE

Agreed - my dealer is silent - responded to a chaser otherwise zip since Dec2021

Really? Are the real delays over the signature meridian? Obviously it’s standard on autobiographies, but does this really mean autobiographies are not coming through? It’s a fabulous system that i think is more than worth the cost but if that is the case we should see some market differential, which I don’t think we are. Ours arrived, we love it and hope the post holiday shut down frees up everyone’s order

If the wheels are the only thing holding up mine, stick anything they like on it as I dislike all of them and if they bring out a decent set I will upgrade and use these as winters.
I am so off if it wasn't for my wench vetoing I would have a Bentaga now.
Phoned to speak with my salesman on Thursday, person who answered the phone said he was with a customer, fair enough, but then went on to say he was very busy as it was new registration day and they had a lot of cars to hand over. letters not necessarily in the right order

I spoke with my salesman this morning. No news, he sounded so despondent I felt there was little point in badgering him. He has been there a long time and said that normally following change of registration day he normally has 30 ish cars to hand over, this year he has 3. letters not necessarily in the right order

I called into my dealership yesterday to collect something and spoke with the sales manager.

To date they have handed over only 13 L460s. Quite incredible situation we are in.
