HELP! Advice needed

Righty ho..

I’ve been an L322 admirer for just about as long as I remember and after a recent house purchase I’m now ready to pick one up! The plan was to spend 15-17k on a decent 4.4 (financed as rates are so low atm). However, I’m now having second thoughts as I’m fearing something might go pop and without any kind of warranty I could be left wide open!

I’ve now started looking at a three series tourer (new) as you obviously get warranty and you therefore have piece of mind. However! I don’t really want one half as much as I want an L322!!

If anyone has any thoughts then please do let me know! Cheers!

I think you hit on the main consideration of LR ownership, it will rarely make sense compared to other options, so It has to be a thing of love. Current: Range Rover L322 4.4tdv8, Porsche 911 (996) Carrera 2, BMW 535d Touring, Skoda Fabia, BMW S1000XR

Just buy it - relatively decent history.

Keep a bit aside for work and you'll be fine. Remember the finance company is liable if it goes to hell, too. I spent £500 on a credit card towards mine for an element of protection. 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE - 'Black Betty'

If you don’t buy one then you won’t settle or be happy. Just repeating what’s already been said keep a little aside for repairs but that should be the case for any vehicle.

Well, obviously the L322 isn’t made anymore. If you leave it a year, the newest one will be a year older than it is now…. Whistle

You won’t regret the 4.4. Had mine over 6 years… still love it.

I was too late with the Capri…. And the Escort Mk2…. Lotus Sunbeam…. Audi Quattro….

Never gonna have any of them now….

Buy the 3 series tourer…………every time you walk out the house & you’re faced with the 3 series, you’ll sigh & say to yourself………”it’s nice but it’s not what I really wanted”!😂
You can always buy an aftermarket warranty (warranty-wise or similar) for about £1k-£1.5k if you’re that concerned.
When I bought my ‘12 plate 4.4TDV8 3 years ago, I spent more in the first year on her than I spent in 5 years on my old X5, yes I did grizzle, but I’ve got my dream machine in the driveway & it's what I’ve always dreamed about.
I grizzled yesterday when I replaced the battery with a Bosch AGM at just shy of £200……it’s only money😂😂😂
If you really really want a FFRR you’ll get one regardless of what people say…….I did! 2012 Orkney Grey Westminster 4.4TDV8 with Ivory interior.........nice!
