What brand shocks and airbags

All,

My L322 ‘10 has 3 of the original air springs, shocks, both fronts, the OSR has been replaced, bag and shock. The OSF is creaking under load and when extended, the bag is also showing signs of the rubber cracking.

During the spring I have decided to replace the lot, more preventive maintenance.

Advise on brand to use for shocks and bags, thinking bilstein all round, bags and shocks.

Certainly not going to cut corners and go cheap on this.

Thanks

Mine are all original too, the front still have the stickers on them from 2011.

I think I'm going to go for Arnott ones front and rear when I change them, both bags and shocks.

As mine are the CVS ones, they're about 100 quid more per corner. Handy Christian.

Arnott seem to have a good reputation, it’s amazing really, these vehicles get a bad rap, but both of us have original equipment air bags on them, 3 of mine Smile 10 plus year after they left the factory.

Anyone have anything bad to say about Dunlop, or just pattern parts from China? Check out my YouTube channel

If yours has the adaptive damping I suggest you avoid the brand who's name I can't remember (not very helpful but I'm sure someone else will remember the name!). They appear to be German but are actually Chinese via Germany, I made the mistake and bought a pair because they were a lot cheaper - should have known better, they were terrible. Got a refund but had to do the job twice.

I had mine changed a few months ago. Arnott were fitted. Very pleased with them.

They came with the damper on the top ready fitted which was a bonus as the damper is a bitch to get off. Also all the little clips etc to secure cables were there. John

Had my rear shocks replaced at Christmas. I replaced with Bilstein CVD items. They were on offer at £199 plus VAT each, so a no brainer. They are OE.

When I had my TD6 I replaced front airbags (and shockers) with Delphi. No issues.

Don’t cut corners, cheaper isn’t always better.
