Mine's recurring harshness is caused by either the engine undertray filled with dried mud or the mount at the back of the transfer case being filled of dried mud or by both.

Have you been underneath with it running and had a poke around all the exhaust shrouds, there’s quite a lot of them also on the manifolds, if they do come loose or break off they do make a horrible noise. |

No it's been like this since I've bought it. I've replaced alternator, belts pulleys idlers etc after they failed and hoped that might have cured it but no
