Lost all Steering fluid.. replaced pump.. hose burst again..

Hi,

Any tips or help would be great..: Bow down

Our LR322 4.4 V8 2002 lost all his steering fluid when my wife started the engine.

Brought the car on a trailer to a garage of a friend. (No LR dealer.)

The hose was burst.

And after replacing the hose, again. (That would have been to easy.)

So now we replaced the steering pump.

But again! Burst. Big Cry

The thing is building up a pressure somehow what is not meant to be that big.

The mechanic was now mentioning about a radiator the hose is going to.. and replace that?

What would you think?

Thanks in advance! And regards from Holland!

It sounds very much like a faulty pump, if the hoses were in good condition and designed to handle the normal pressure, the pump pressure relief valve must be stuck or blocked. BMW i3 Electric Car

Thanks,

But any idea about where the relief valve is?

Or is it part of the pump ? (Which is replaced..)

I would guess it's built into the pump to regulate the output pressure. BMW i3 Electric Car
