Getting service added to Topix

Hi All

New owner here (car arrives on Friday).

The car has been serviced by the supplying (non LR) dealer.

Has anyone had any success in getting this kind of service added to topix?

Thanks in advance and sorry if this has been asked before

The supplying dealer should be registered with Topix and add the service for you, ask them to ensure it is done.

Put your VIN in here to check its done https://osh.landrover.com 2018 SE SDV8 4.4 Byron Blue

Any dealer/Indy/person etc can register for a Topix account

1 hour fee for Topix access is currently £16.80 or for 1 day it is £20.60 would think from that access you would be able to register a service. Never tried it personally but I am sure others on here have, like Craig and Mikey etc

For satisfying JLR warranties, the Indy dealer/garage needs only to be VAT registered 2018 SE SDV8 4.4 Byron Blue

Its not just a 5 minute job to get approval for OSH updates, but it is possible

Updates are8 instant, and you do not need an active Topix subscription to add OSH updates Thumbs Up

Someone on the Jaguar forum I frequent got in touch with the CRC. He provided them with invoices to prove the servicing had been done on a car he bought from a non JLR dealer who had serviced the car twice and the service history was updated.

Might be worth giving them a call and asking. 2002 4.6 Vogue SE - Alveston Red with Lightstone Leather

My indy gave me the impression that there is more to it. For example it comes with conditions about the work they'd do. Like they aren't allowed to provide performance tunes like pulley changes or remaps as otherwise they get removed from the programme.

I have no idea whether that is true, but that is what they told me when I asked them (very knowledgeable) to do the work.

I don't think that's right. There are plenty of well respected LR independents who also offer services such as remaps. Kev

JLR will allow OSH access to most VAT registered garages without much trouble

They are however, very strict about security clearance, and will not grant approval to a business who carry out "unauthorised modifications"
I suspect that's what your indy is referring to Thumbs Up
