No you need a diagnostic tool. Not necessarily a IID.

I have the Hawkeye pro and can confirm it will not edit CCF files, for this I have to use my IID tool. 2011 TDV8 Vogue SE

Not sure if you have the TFT dash but if so it’s definitely in the menu to turn on and off, don’t know about the analogue dash though.

I agree with earlier comment that you need an IID or similar.

I've removed fuse 20 as already mentioned, however that does mean the seat and steering wheel can't be moved. I made sure I set them up how I wanted them before I removed the fuse.

My reason for removing the fuse was because my steering was making a squeaking/creaking noise whenever it retracted, and I've just not got round to lubing the mechanism yet.

I checked this with my indy back when I still had my TD6.
Was having problems with the reach mechanism jamming.
He confirmed that it could be done if I (really) wanted it, but that it wasn't a user changeable setting (we didn't get into the Gap IID conversation).

On a related note it is critical that column reach is not permitted to rest on the stop (at maximum reach extension).
This will lead to a screeching noise and mechanism jamming.

If your driving position favours the outer reaches of travel, is a good idea to extend to maximum before retracting slightly and then saving to memory.
Also recommend checking the memory setting periodically to guard against possible "creep" occurrence.
I've found that this can see the column extending to the stop by way of easy entry.
Should this happen, you may not notice until the mechanism becomes noisy or jams.
And by then the damage may be permanent. 2011 L322 TDV8 A/b Orkney Grey
