Beyond engine oil and brake fluid L405 SDV8

2017 model

70,000 miles

Wondered whether there were other fluids that could sensibly be changed to maximise the chances of a fairly trouble free cruise towards 100,000 miles over the next few years

Bought vehicle at 2.5 years, 50,000 miles. Full LR service history

A couple of oil changes since then.

Thoughts welcomed

Mike

Depending upon the car service history, remember that the brake fluid does not last for ever, this may need changing. Same goes for power steering hydraulics.

Unlike the L322 the L405 doesn’t have hydraulic power steering, it’s electric.

^^^ this. If you want to change the power steering fluid on a L405, you'll be looking for the reservoir for a long time! Kev

And just to be clear concerning dynamic response filter - it's built into the reservoir so a new reservoir is required. I picked mine up on eBay, genuine LR part for £26. 10 minutes to replace. Kev
