Hi,
After making a sharp left turn my fuel gauge warning light came on.
The car has only done 50 miles since I last filled up so I now there is diesel in there!
Read the fault codes on my GAP IID Tool and the following came up and doesn't clear:
B1A75-15(2F) Fuel Sender 1 Circuit general electrical failure. Circuit short to battery or open

Has anyone else had this and has it rectified itself?
Looked online and there is mention of a TSB which involves an electrical wiring fix but this seemed to be for other LR vehicles with the same fault code.

Any help/advice gratefully received.

I have found a couple of threads about a similar problem but these seem to be later L322s.
Mine is a 2007 3.6TDV8 Vogue SE, does anyone know if TSB LTB00566NAS4 would work for my car?

The issue you will have is that even though you know it has fuel - the car may not and will soon induce the precautionary mis-fire to warn you.Then a little later it will throw the rattle and stop altogether to prevent engine damage (or so it thinks)

I know someone who had exactly that issue. turned out there was a wiring failure in the sender within the tank.

Access is easy via the rear seat squabs and a large access hole.

If I recall correctly the sender and level sensor were one unit. The tanks were saddle bagged over the rear drive tunnel.

Firstly, are you going to do the work yourself or "entrust"it to a garage? If DIY I may be able to help depending on what you find.

When mine suffered the same symptoms, I was lucky enough to be able to run the tank rght down and undertake the repair myself.

My fault was the pump fell over in the tank, athough it remained operational. I carried out the TSB while in there.

The TSB you refer to does show only 2010-12 FFs but it may be yours has the same in tank inline connectors that need atention.

Went out to the car earlier and the fuel gauge is now working!

These cars are so temperamental!

If it comes back I will have a go at doing the TSB fix myself. I might be back in touch!
