Recently imported a car from Japan and sent off all the relavent paperwork and cheque.

Still sat waiting and cheque not cashed.

Has anyone had any recent dealings ?.

Yes just imported from France. Took nearly three months. Cheque wasn’t cashed until several weeks after V5 arrived. When the V5 arrives there is a reminde to make sure there is enough in the account to cover it.

That was a car that had previousl UK registered with the old V5.  John

Any digital transactions take seconds. Send paperwork to DVLA and it goes into their special black hole, for months.
I did my license renewal last year and it took 7+ months. Change of address on 3 x V5 and 2 licenses done on line 4 days.
DVLA are a disgrace when it comes to paper transactions. 2017 5.0 Autobiography Supercharged
