Top glove box. The ultimate minor inconvenience issue.

On the passenger side dash of the L405 there is a button ^ or v and this corresponds to the upper and lower glove box.

On my 2015 car the bottom one v releases the lower glove box as you would expect.

The upper one ^ appears to do nothing as the upper glove box is pull open and springs back in place one released.

It's always been like this since I bought it and whilst not a massive issue I can't help but feel it shouldn't work like this.

Is is meant to be powered? Is mine 'broken'? Is this just one of those things and should I leave well alone for fear of angering the gods?

Its been one of my bugging questions so pleased with your reply. Mine is the same and is frustrating but I still love my car.

Top glove box should be latched until the ^ is pressed, whereby it then unlatches.

I assume someone must have forced yours open in the past without pressing ^ and broken it? Kev

The top box is latched but unlike the lower one. Once opened it lower as the top one unlocks and then needs to be pulled. Mybe if it pops more it would be better. Its not a smooth operation like so many things are in the car. Bow down

Yes, I agree that's the correct functionality Jonathan. It would be nice if it fully opened.

What I'm referring to is in Stick Leg's post where he said:
The upper one ^ appears to do nothing as the upper glove box is pull open

This isn't correct. It does do something - the top button unlatches the top glove box. Kev
