You can buy the kits off the bay and do them your self for a lot less and only a couple of hours work.

Had a browse on the bay but couldn't see any. But are they any good? I don't want any Chinese toot that will only last half hour.

^^^Not just tesla, many VWs, US brands etc but mainly for local markets - ie Tesla builds cars for the local markets and exports some to Europe - until the German plant is open very soon, then it will be all produced in Europe.

But more to your point Craig, most tech components and trims in EVERY modern car have been made in China, Taiwan, for decades and it is now the norm. Just like iPhones indeed.

Most manufacturers stamp their metalworks, weld/glue them together, then assemble parts but they do not actually produce the parts, using subcontractors.

Now back to the headlight question, I would not go for these, I rather leave your lovely 322 alone on that side, or opt for a proper 2012 facelift with genuine parts. Nowadays you could find a second-hand set of required parts and to fit yourself or ask a pro like Craig to do it for you. l=Oo\________/oO=l l:OolΞΞΞΞΞΞΞloO:l

Yes you are probably right Craig, but I'd rather someone do it and get a warranty included. We have all bought toot from China only for it to fail in a few days. However, the company that does those lights have their own website and it says £300 compared to £395 on eBay. At least they are rather local to me and I've seen ones on their website with them sprayed gloss black and I think they look amazing.

I know what your saying verydisco but seeing them I actually do think they look fantastic and it's something different.

Indeed, I meant 2012 (black headlights), not 2021 as I originally mistyped (now edited). Thanks. l=Oo\________/oO=l l:OolΞΞΞΞΞΞΞloO:l

I’m not sure about them…

While I like the idea of my current DRL rings being solid rings like the BMW angel eyes, I can’t help but think about the many aftermarket angel eyes on cars we all see that just look wrong. Yes, some designs are better than others, but I’ve yet to see any that look right… to me anyway.

Is that because the style doesn’t match the cars “design style”? Or because it’s simply not a BMW and the brain just says “no”?

I’d hate to see you spend the £££ only to not be happy with the results. I would need to see them in person on the same car (I.e. not on a bench) to make my mind up if it worked.

I expect this is how they would look… (different car, but you get the idea)
