Australia 2019 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Corris Grey
Seats in 460 Autobiography

Hi guys,
I currently own a 2019 range Rover autobiography SDV8 L405. SWB
When the back seat is folded down the drivers seat cannot adjust fully back due to the headrest on the back seat, the headrest is not removable.
I have ordered the new 2022 range Rover autobiography SWB and would like to know when the backseats are folded down can the drivers seat be adjusted fully back. I understand the wheelbase is 74 mm longer than the L405 So hoping this will allow the driver seat to move fully back.
This question maybe only answerable by someone who has the L460.
At this point in time we have no deliveries in Australia of the L460, and the dealers cannot answer the question.
Thanks

I wanted to know that exact same thing when I went to the dealer event a few months back.

And so while other customers were admiring the wheels etc I was busy folding seats down!

It is better than in the L405 by about 50mm I would say, but the problem remains – ie the driver’s seat won’t go fully back with the rear executive seats down.

I am not the tallest chap in the world at 5 ft 9 inches on a good day, and even for me the driver’s seat didn’t go back to what I would consider my normal driving position.

With the standard seats (ie without the electric central armrest) I suspect it would be better.

It is one of the reasons I have decided to switch from the SWB to the LWB. The price is similar now and I live in a barn so why not?

Good luck with your choice!

Thanks for the reply, I also ordered the LWB for the same reason, but changed back to SWB I guess hoping there would be more room in the L460.
We are expecting delivery in Melbourne @ July so will check it out at the dealer opening.

I have turned down the first delivery as the Power Assisted Doors and remote park assist have been removed due to the semiconductor shortage.
Cheers MJG

Wow - I'm 7-8 cm taller than you, Freddy, and if you struggle to sit comfortably in the driver seat when the rear seats are down, the same would definitely happen to me. Need to test this properly when the local dealer get a L460 in stock!
