United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Autobiography TDV8 Baltic Blue
[For Sale] Range Rover 4.2 Supercharger Snout & Supercha

Last year I bought a spare Supercharger for my L322 to rebuild it. I stripped it and rebuilt the snout and when I was about to replace the case bearings I noticed 2 hair line cracks in the case. As a result I’ve got a spare refurbished snout from an Eaton M112 as fitted to the 4.2.

The snout has had 2 new bearings and a new oil seal fitted to it. Parts were supplied by Powerhouse Automotive.

To fit this all you will need is some Loctite 518 to create a seal between the rotor pack and the snout.

If you’ve not got access to a press or are short of time this will allow you to remove one and refit the other straight away.

Additionally to the snout, I have a complete Supercharger available.

This Supercharger has been stripped back to a bare casing, vapour blasted and rebuilt.

The needle roller bearings at the back of the casing have been replaced, both bearings in the snout have been replaced as has the oil seal. The coupler is also a brand new genuine Eaton part. As well as all of the new parts being fitted the snout has also been fitted with a 6% performance pulley.

The pulley was bought from Powerhouse and was also fitted by them. The only thing that hasn’t been replaced in this Supercharger is the rotor pack bearings, however, there is zero float in them and they appear to be in perfect condition.

The reason that I’ve not bolted the complete Supercharger back together yet is because I don’t mind which snout I refit to the charger. If someone would rather have a totally original Supercharger then I am happy to refit the snout with the original pulley, if someone would rather have a Supercharger with a 6% performance pulley then I am happy to build it back up with the snout with the modified pulley.

So… prices…

Snout with original pulley - £150
Snout with 6% performance pulley - £350

Supercharger with original pulley - £450
Supercharger with 6% performance pulley - £650

I’m happy to post the Supercharger snout (around £10) or the complete Supercharger (cost not yet known).

I’m only selling these as with all the work I’ve done to my car, I’ve decided to fit a brand new Supercharger.

Update - Only the rebuilt snout and original pulley still available.

This has been cleaned up, had both bearings replaced in the press and the oil seal replaced with a brand new one.

Comes with a sealed bottle of Supercharger oil.

Thanks,

That will teach me for dithering!

That full SC with the 6% pulley was an absolute bargain, I've been trying to justify buying it for the last 3 days Laughing

You won't be disappointed!

I've already got the smaller pulley on mine, and there's nothing wrong with any of it that I know of, I just fancied a "spare" charger that I would have fitted to mine then got the one on it now refurbed and put it on our other one.

Did you have any luck with Roland finding you some cams?
