Newbie - Hello!

Just wanted to say Hi to everyone, as i'm new, will be looking at getting a FFRR in late 09 to early 10 as new house forced sale of my P38!

As from reading all the posts the problems with these still exists. but hey i dont care i bought a classic as my first car!

With the 3rd generation i have no clue yet of what model year, spec, colour or fuel variant. my budget is pretty limited as would only have about £15k to spend, dont mind too much on fuel as i will only be doing low mileage

Any suggestions welcome!

Thumbs Up have defferred but always come back to RR!

1st of all welcome.

As you are not planning on buying until later in the year, who knows what prices will be like. It will jut be a case of having a good look about and buy one that takes your fancy.

nbunney thanks for the welcome, yeah unfortunately for me i have to wait that long!, seeing all of you with FFRR's makes me so jealous!

Is there any pitfalls or things that common faults on this model?

I know in the past it was the electrics were the most common and main componets were really strong gearbox, axels etc

tho i had the diesel and if thats anything to go by the 3.0td better be good or its back to petrol for me! have defferred but always come back to RR!

If you're not going to be doing many miles or towing I would get a petrol, if just for the sound.

Hopefully the age of car you could be looking at will have had any issues sorted, but It might be worth getting 1 from a Landrover stealer, as they have to provide a years warrenty.

Only pitfalls are High tax / High servicing costs / High fuel bills, but when you're driving around in the best who cares.

Yeah im not bothered by tax, servicing i get my mate whos a mobile mechnic and fuel well you dont own a FFRR for its MPG!!

Im thinking vogue was the best specc'ed at the time, but the ext colour and interior colour is hard alot of weird combos out there have defferred but always come back to RR!

You're not wrong about colour combo's.

Took me a while to find a dark wood / black leather interior, the only combination I like.
