The 550e will be a 24 model year, how soon is it coming as I’m waiting on the 460e and told it would be first run of 24MY?
Thanks

I have been told December, have you had a date yet? I am not sure on the loss of the “manual” climate and seat controls.

Same thoughts on the loss of controls, have no date yet for delivery.

My 24 P550e AB has 15th of Sept as build date, and planned handover 2nd of November. So I guess they've already started the MY24 production.

When was the 550e order placed? I’ve been making enquiries this week on replacing my current and warned to expect 12-18months wait for a RR Phev 😳 MY23 PHEV HSE
MY19 Disco 5 HSE - gone
My16 Disco 4 HSE LUXURY - gone
My12 Disco 4 HSE - gone

My P550e build is mid October and delivery mid November … ordered April 2022.
I‘m happy about the delay … would be some kind of angry when getting one of the last P510e.
I‘m also fine with Tesla-like display with no control buttons … looks very clean and stylish.
In full electric mode P550e needs just 5,0 sec from 0-100 km/h … that‘s just wow …. my BMW i3s needs about 7 sec for doing that and acceleration feels very fast already.

AFAIK the P550e will do 0-100 in 5 seconds in hybrid mode. EV mode will be slower, but due to a more powerful EV motor (215HP electric motor in P550e vs 141HP in the P510e, in addition to the I6) it will definitely be quicker than the P510e.

I ordered our P510e in March 22 - been converted to the MY24 P550e. Still not 100% confident of the usability of the new minimalistic interior design without physical HVAC and TR controls, but will give it a chance!

@Eirik34

Hi … strange … I read the official RR newsroom message from 17th of May in German language … see link below. It clearly says 5.0 sec in pure electric mode … and same time in hybrid mode (which makes of course not really sense when thinking twice) … maybe a translation error Question

Here the link to German version: https://media.landrover.com/de-de/news/202...n-und-mehr

The german version certainly states 0-100 in 5 seconds, that's for sure! But translation can be tricky, at least if the translators don't understand the domain! The original UK text is as follows (key words in italics by me):

Quote:
The enhanced technology provides improved acceleration in EV mode, reducing the time it takes to reach 100km/h in pure-electric power by 5.0 seconds. Using both power sources, the P550e can sprint from 0-100km/h in 5.0 seconds,
https://media.landrover.com/news/2023/05/r...refinement

I think that the P440e/P510e could do the 0-100 sprint in pure EV mode around 15-16 seconds (ref this test: https://youtu.be/aWWWvrgiPZI?si=tLZ3EAgYBZGfaU0W), and with the new more powerful electric motor, those numbers will be reduced by 5 seconds, meaning around 10-11 seconds 0-100 in pure EV mode for the P460e/P550e versions - which is not too bad Very Happy !

Hi Eirik!

This is really a poor German translation then .... a 5 sec reduction translated to 5 sec from 0-100 ... wow ... I guess DeepL would do a better job than Landrover Rolling with laughter

On my 440e if I’m in EV mode and floor it the Engine will kick in even though I’m in Pure EV mode to aid with safe overtaking. I had a couple of bmw I3s in the past as commute cars they were nippy little things, no way is the RR Phev close to the same performance in pure EV. Dynamic and sport mode is a different storey. MY23 PHEV HSE

Back when announced, we originally thought the reduction of 5 seconds for the P550e was a typo but JLRNA confirmed as you said - it was 16 seconds to 100km/h and is now reduced to 11 seconds to 100km/h in pure EV.

After learning that I ordered the V8. I was really hoping to try the PHEV this time around but I feel like I'll always be pushing it and turning the ICE on; defeating the purpose.
