Possible to pause the electric rear seats during folding?

My son dropped his AirPods (both of them inexplicably) into the gap at the base of the rear seats of our L405.

The seats are the Executive seats and fold electrically, but I don't know how to pause them during the process so that I can have a good look underneath the seat.

Does anyone know how to do this? Any help much appreciated! 2024 Range Rover P550e AB

As Stan says, press the button again and the seat stops. MY23 Panamera E-Hybrid

Use the buttons in the load space, when you let go they stop. 2018 SE SDV8 4.4 Byron Blue

Thanks for the replies on this. I finally managed to get around to trying what was suggested, but unfortunately I still cannot get the seats to stop.

To fold the seats, I just press the button (note, I don't need to hold the button). If I press the button again, then the seat just stops folding and reverses back to the upright position.

Any other ideas? 2024 Range Rover P550e AB

A set of seat buttons is located in the loadspace. For vehicles with standard electric rear seats:

Press and hold to fold or raise the left-side seatback.

Press and hold to fold or raise the right-side seatback.

Above from user manual, it applies to my MY18 Thumbs Up

Push against the seat back whilst it's moving, it *should* detect an obstruction and stop.

Same on my MY17. Press and hold the button near the tailgate to move the seat, but if you let go it stops. Mike - MPx

Thanks everyone. Interesting - I don't need to hold the button - wonder if it's anything to do with them being executive rear seats?

I haven't tried the resistance approach - will give that a go next although I'm pretty sure it just reverses the procedure rather than stops altogether. 2024 Range Rover P550e AB

The manual doesn't help I'm afraid, but it does confirm that the Executive Seats are a 'one shot' fold/raise rather than press & hold on the normal rear seats.

I had to do this yesterday. I was by the seat and my son pressed the button. I could then find the airpod. but it would be good to do this and stop with the bottom cushion forward, as I need to clean under the seat. I think that the fuse is the only way to do this. SDV8 AB MY 2020

I’ve still not been able to do this. Was hoping for an easier answer than taking the fuse out at the right moment! 2024 Range Rover P550e AB
