suspension fault 2010 L322

Hi all,

Was driving to work the other day and suspension fault message came on, car was still driving ok and got to work with no issues. did a rough measurement of the wheel heights and the front two were about 15 mm low. Later that day I started the car and it went down onto the bump stops, drove a short distance and no improvement, car then had the message suspension will lift when system cooled and max 30 mph.

Decided to drive straight home and surprisingly the car lifted about 5 minutes into the journey and drove about 10 miles perfectly fine, when I got home the front was definitely lifted but still lower than normal height may have actually been around access height and rears normal ride height. Interestingly the 4x4 screen showed the car was lowered and there was a flashing bar above the rear offside wheel, I changed this sensor a few months ago and wondered why just that wheel was flashing red.

I connected the Gap and the following codes came up.

1st code when the suspension fault message came up was C1130-66(2Cool Air spring air supply Algorithm based failure-signal has too many transitions/events.

2nd code later when on bump stops C1130-7A(6C) air spring air supply-Mechanical failure -fluid leak or seal failure.

Between these two events there was an airbag code U0415-00 Invalid data received from ABS control module.

At the moment the car is lowered on the the bumps stops at the front only and still normal height at the rear, booked in the local garage for Tuesday and just wondering if anyone had had anything similar. I'm guessing the air bags at the front have bit the dust but surprised 2 would go at the same time.

Hi, yes the front offside airbag had bit the dust. Replaced the air bag and no further issues.

How did you find out it was that one? Was the corner dropping so it was obvious?

I did have the front offside bag replaced about a year ago and that side does occasionally drop as well, but this was the first time I’ve seen the error pop up while driving and it was after about an hours worth too. Current: RR L322 2010

I got it home and it did go back to normal height whilst driving, when I stopped the car and got out I could hear the hissing noise coming from the front offside air bag. It was drilling down to the bump stops which isn’t a very comfortable ride !
