Tdv8 3.6 snorkel.

Hi guys,
I have been toying with installing a snorkel on my 80 3.6 tdv8. I plan to do quite a bit of outback touring and would like to restrict the ingress of dust and water into the engine. I have noticed that the connections to the hoses are loose and open….. this was partly the cause for a major flooding with my previous tdv8. Has anyone done this, which snorkel have you used given that the inlet is on the LHS.
