BRG not available ?!

Been told by my dealer that I cant have BRG on an autobiography, anyone else been told this? When they put my order through the factory said BRG is no longer available. Is only available on the SV now apparently.

My order is for BRG and it is confirmed but I don't think that means much.

When did you put in your spec? I know that they are agreeing to build some early V8 engine AB spec orders but not accepting new V8 orders other than in SV trim. Maybe it's the same with the SV colours, original orders will be built but they won't accept new ones unless it's on an SV trim car???

Maybe they are keeping back the high spec engines and paints for SV while supplies are limited so they have the bits to build the highest margin vehicles. It also drives some people to choose SV spec cars so they can get the the engine and colour they want who otherwise would not see much point in the 10% premium for an SV.

I’d ordered BRG for my D350 AB but when I,like everyone else got charged the 2023 new list price I dropped it as it nearly covered the extra cost..
No idea what colour to choose, keep flipping between Carpathian, Santorini, dark blue and still no idea.

I have BRG on order. Confirmed last month and haven’t heard anything to the contrary from my dealer. I hope that sticks and that we’re not asked to revisit the order

I went from BRG to Carpathian Andy and have no regrets at all, it's a very smart looking car (I think!!!!!) Thumbs Up All LR cars from 1984

I am told that confirmed orders with SVO colours will be honoured but new orders are restricted to SV trim cars only.

Have they said what’s the reasons for restricting engine and colours to the SV trim? Are they actually struggling to source things or they just getting a low number of SV orders and are looking for ways to try and get more?

My guess would be the latter.

No. They are actually struggling to source components.

So, while components are limited, why not restrict what you have to the highest margin vehicles. It makes absolute sense.

For the same reason I expect it will be a while before anyone gets an order of a V8 RRS fulfilled.
