Never used a GAP iiD so couldn't say - a faulty pressure transducer can give any kind of spurious readings - as can shorted or corroded wiring, the first check given that 40Bar is improbable is to disconnect the sensor and see what changes.

Hi lads,I took the low pressure switch connection off,to see if it gave me any other codes on the gap iid tool,and it just said the same fault,refrigerant pressure fault,so it looks like faulty low pressure switch could be the problem,what do youse think,cheers pat

It does sound like the pressure sensor has an internal defect, obviously you'll need to recover the refrigerant before replacing it.

Hi lads,I got a replacement sensor,but when I was taking my sensor off,it snapped off,now I need a new pipe,how hard is it to replace the whole pipe.and are there different pipes for tdv8 and td6,cheers pat

Looks like there's one pipe fits all - JUE500560 Get Duckworths to check against your VIN though, it goes to the evaporator with a flexi bit on the other end, comes with sensor & seals, shouldn't be too bad to fit as long as the bolts haven't corroded in....

ETA - looks like there's a different one for 7A VIN's, again, get Duckworths to check your VIN.

Hi lads,have just got a replacement pipe from scrappies,but there seems to be a slight difference as it doesn't have a valve on it,would it still be ok to use or do I need one with a valve,as you only fill refrigerant using the low pressure valve,would it make any difference,cheers pat

You can fill refrigerant with the HP or LP port - or both, it makes no difference.

Yep, it'll work fine mate, it's perfectly acceptable to vac and charge the system via one port (and some systems only have a low side port), it's useful to have both ports for pressure measurements if diagnostic checks need to be carried out but you can access the pressure transducer readings for the high side if needed.
