A selection of LR Evoques

Yesterday I was working with a sports promotion event company that involved about 20 LR Evoques being displayed in Kensington, London.

Quite a private event for the rich and famous...

...yet at great risk to my own personal safety I have managed to bring all you fullfatters
(well - those of you who might be interested in the new babyRR model)

EXCLUSIVE SPY PICS of what was about Thumbs Up

Unfortunately - because I still haven't worked out how to include photos with my postings you will have to look at my gallery to see them Rolling Eyes

click on gallery under the big fullfat.com logo
then on the black banner, click on upload photos
click on browse and select the picture on your pc/laptop
press continue four times and this will bring you into your album
select/click the picture you want and it'll increase in size
where it says bbcode full size, copy and paste that into your post.

I guess you don't like it's name more than the car actually! If it was still called the LRX... that would be a different story Whistle

At least LR made a car with panoramic roof... the only thing I always liked about Porsches and x5's

Strangely enough, it has the LR badge in the back! 2000 BMW M5, Avus Blue/LeMans Leather Interior

It's not my cup of tea, but it's nice to actually see a distinctive design and not another "jelly mould". No confusing the Evoque with any other make/model of car. Smile

Thats correct James - It was the Roof Gardens doo...

...I am well, thanks for asking Thumbs Up - I trust you are well too?

I hope you are ready with your order books for this new Evoque - when they reopened the road (after scaffolding, cranes and trucks had gone) you would not beleive the amount of positive interest these cars received form the general public, male and female, young and old!

Ps - Don't think much to your pink Evoque window graphic, I would have done much better Wink

I would hazard a guess that a lot of the styling will be carried forward to the next all new 2012 Range Rover Whistle

But surely this is the reason they are calling it Range Rover - just like the sport, it will be a huge success and they will make a huge profit from it - probably far more profit than selling FFRR's.
They have to name it RR because of the association it needs to have to be popular.....................

I don't particularly like it either, but as long as it keeps the work in the UK and makes LandRover stay in business it's probably good for the company.

I think we need to learn to live with the fact that times are changing and if the Range Rover brand helps LR sell billions of Evoques then as Rolo say's it probably good for us all in the end.

I too am starting to quite like the look of the car but all small 4X4's, however stylish, look like girls cars to me. The wife may yet have one..... Whistle

If you think this is bad, wait for the new Defender to arrive!
Defender drivers have got to be the most traditional of all LR group products.

There is a problem with the Evoque. It's too wide for a small car!
In cities where a lot will live the parking spaces are not wide enough to let you open the doors, just like in a FFRR.
That is my main complaint. It's also the main reason we are not getting one. My wife wouldn't drive the FFRR for exactly the same reason. Height, length, weight... no problem. But you need to be able to park the thing and still get the door open without smashing it into somebody elses car.
Her Yeti is fairly wide for a small car, but it's still something like 12cm thinner than an Evoque, which is not far of the width of it's bigger brothers.

But that won't stop people buying them like crazy.
