So, some context and back story.

The car has always had a bit of a vibration like the wheels needing balanced. Found out I had a slow puncture in the OSR so replaced both the back tyres. This helped the vibration to a degree but it was still there.

Front brakes were squeeking and generally looked a bit crap so had them replaced (discs and pads). Figured if the discs were a bit misshapen this would help. Vibration still there.

Found the OSR CVD had no oil in it - had both rear CVD shocks replaced, still have the vibration.

Replaced both front tyres to match the rears. Vibration still there.

Discovered the NSR disc was a lot hotter than the OSR; had that checked out and the garage freed up the slider and made sure all was okay. Vibration still there.

Car has been on a hunter 4 wheel alignment system and only the fronts needed very minor adjustment.

Vibration still present.

It happens after 70 all the way through to about 90ish however it is more prominent when you're slowing down (just letting off the throttle) and particularly at around 75mph.

When it happens, it's mainly felt in your backside/seat rather than the steering wheel but when slowing down and you get to that 75mph point, it's quite obvious through the steering wheel.

What's my next option? I've thrown a few K at this now (though a lot of that was routine/preventative anyway) so I want my next spend to be specifically for this issue.

The specialist I use doesn't really know what would be causing it at this point. He is of the opinion that the centre prop bearing is fine.

I wonder if I should try and find someone local to swap wheels with, temporarily, in case something is buckled, maybe?

The sliders are not really the problem on the rear callipers. It's the piston that gets seized.

Might be worth checking to see if your discs are still getting hot. Check out my project (link below) as I had a seized calliper too, it's really common. Christian.

Have you had the wheels checked in case one of them is slightly buckled ?

Well, yes and no. They've been balanced and the tyres changed twice now and noone has said there's a problem.

Was perhaps thinking of swapping with someone else to try there's and see if the problem persists for that reason as I don't think there's any other way to determine that really? 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE - 'Black Betty'

I take it you have had all the suspension arms and bushes checked, the alignment will not necessarily pick this up if you have issues.. Pete

It has been at the specialist 3 or 4 times over the past month for various work and every time the vibration has been talked about.

This must be very frustrating to say the least. I can only offer a few suggestions;
Next time you decelerate switch it into N and see what happens.
Give each CV joint (inner and outer) a test by trying to move the drive shaft around.
A seized brake callipers that causes overheating can warp a disk which would normally just cause vibration under braking but it’s worth investigating nonetheless. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

JayGee - I believe that has all been done by the specialist as he was aware of the issue every time I went in. He stated he couldn't find any issues that would cause the vibration.

I have no reason to doubt him either; he certainly seems to know his stuff and a few on here recommend him, too.

Normally it wouldn't bother me too much but I'm driving to Spain in 2 weeks and sitting at 70-85 for 1500 miles with a constant vibration is going to totally ruin the luxury drive. 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE - 'Black Betty'

Swap wheels front to back, see if it moves to the steering axle

I had a vibration on an old car of mine. Balanced up fine every time. Eventually took the cover off the balancer and watched the tyre spin, had a small flat spot in the centre of the tread that wasn't visible unless the wheel was rotating quickly

Get the wheels on a hunter road force machine as this tests for out of round issues 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

Pro-Grip in Falkirk have Hunter wheel alignment so they might have a hunter wheel balancer.

Failing that they also have an "Intelligent Vibration Analyser", which is supposed to ID where any vibrations are coming from.
