Thank you! I cannot believe how painful the backache is.

Pretty efficient here in France. Turned up to A&E at 10 pm, by 12 I had had blood tests, a CT scan and was in an Ambulance on my to Limoges.

By 12 midday, I had had surgery and am now feeling sorry for myself but being well looked after!

Good job the fuel is a bit cheaper now, wifey is going to be doing some miles to visit me 😂

Meant to post that I went to A&E in St. Junien, then they sent me to Limoges.

That's good to hear, if that was the UK you'd still be in the waiting room to be seen. So that's probably a 60 mile round trip then for the wife? Get well soon Philip you're in the right place.

Almost exactly 60 miles!

50km each way.

@Phillip, Don’t know if it is of interest but CHU Limoges has accommodation just across the road for families who have in patients. Basic but comfortable and secure.
Might give her a chance to stay the odd night to cut down on her travels. I know it is about an 90km round trip from Marval. John

I didn’t know that, very useful.

But we have 2 big doggies, so she will need to go home for them. Gives me some peace too 😂

Bit difficult to do otherwise.

I lived just along the road at Miallet for 18 years until last December. MOH attended French classes for six years run by Mary Tarry in the old Salle des Fêtes in Marval. John
