Bovee or Apple Lightening Cable issues 2012 L322

Hi All,

I'm having issues connecting my new Apple Lightening Cable to my L322 2012.

I previously had the Bovee in the photo attached and it worked but I couldn't control the songs or files from the headunit. I went and bought the genuine Apple Lightening Cable to get access to this feature. Now I've connected it and it's not working. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Also with both units sometimes when I press play on Spotify it won't play the song unless I make a call first and then it will activate after the call is finished.

Any idea's? Thanks in advance

I can answer your second question.

Spotify has a bug where it fails to boot when the phone switches from WiFi to 4G/5G (which the phone will be doing when you leave the house and get in the car). On Android this can be fixed with a custom script and enabling more sensitive toggling between mobile data and WiFi. I don't think it's possible to do the same with iPhones. The simple solution is to press the 'next track' button and Spotify should re-boot on mobile data and start playing. 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8

Thanks for the answer Gary I appreciate it. It saves me from having to ring my voicemail every time I need it to move forwards Smile

So just a quick update. I downloaded Apple Music onto my phone. Then downloaded one song.

I played that song and then moved to Spotify and it works. With the lead or with Bovee. From what I've learned it shows the system that the phone can be linked that way as an MP3 player as well.
